As the West Coast COVID-19 caseload eased, Dr. Compton-Phillips led a virtual offsite for more than 200 leaders from across the Providence system. Team members envisioned a path forward from the immediate response phase through recovery and into a future where Providence can grow toward its vision of health for a better world. On this episode, Dr. Compton-Phillips and I discuss the system’s future vision, strategies for lessening the health disparities that have been so starkly outlined by the COVID-19 crisis, and the importance of a leadership model based in listening to team members.
